Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an excellent adjunct to chiropractic care or can be used alone.
Acupuncture is a principle, not a technique. Therefore, there are many ways to stimulate an acu-point other than with a needle, just as there are many different techniques used in the principle of swimming.
The following are some conditions treated successfully with Acupuncture:
- Acute and chronic pain
- Migraine
- Tension
- Cluster and sinus headaches
- Hormonal imbalances
- Tri-geminal neuralgia
- Mid-back pain, low back pain
- Shoulder dysfunction
- Tennis elbow
- Post-operative pain relief
- Gastric problems
- Asthma, allergies
- Bladder dysfunction, bed wetting
- Cervical (neck) pain
- Skin conditions, hemorrhoids
- Abnormal blood pressure
- Fatigue, anxiety, neurological syndromes
- Various eye problems, etc.
In our office, we use needleless Acupuncture, via, electronic stimulation, pressure stimulation and laser stimulation to treat an acu-point. It is painless and alleviates the fear of needles, but is just as effective as Acupuncture with needles. The principle of acupuncture does not change, only the technique.
Your Acupuncture session will be preformed in one of our private treatment rooms. The doctor will ask you questions about your condition, health and medical history. An Acupuncture analysis will be performed and you will see the results of this analysis on a computer screen. This not only allows the doctor to chart your progress but also allows you to be able to visually see your progress.
Dr. Peter Arizzi has a post doctorate fellowship from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture and has used Acupuncture as a part of his clinical practice for over 15 years.
